Document Signing Guide

Overview

Lendiom's Document Signing feature allows you to prepare and send documents for e-signature directly through the Lendiom app. It streamlines the process of obtaining signatures from borrowers or other parties and keeps everything in one place.

Accessing Document Signing

  • In the Lendiom app, navigate to the Document Signing section.
  • You can choose between two tabs: Sign Requests for creating or tracking sign requests, and Templates for managing reusable document templates.

Creating a New Sign Request

A sign request is created through a guided workflow with three steps:

  1. Upload or Select Document – choose an existing template or upload a new PDF to start a sign request.
  2. Who & When – add one or more signers, set the signing order if necessary, and specify a due date for completion.
  3. Drag & Drop Builder – drag fields onto the document (e.g. signature, initials, text boxes, dates) and assign each field to the correct signer.

Sending the Request

After completing the builder, review your sign request and click Send. Each signer receives an email with a link to review and sign the document.

Tracking and Managing Requests

All sign requests appear in the Sign Requests tab with their current status:

  • Draft – the request has been created but not yet sent.
  • Requested – the request has been sent and awaits signatures.
  • Completed – all parties have signed the document.
  • Expired – the request was not completed before the due date.
  • Canceled – the request was canceled by the sender.

Each entry lists the document title, signers, status and due date. You can open a request at any time to view its details or resend it.

Managing Templates

Templates help streamline recurring documents:

  • Navigate to the Templates tab to view existing templates.
  • Upload a blank PDF, add fields in the builder, and save it as a template for future sign requests.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use templates for documents you send often to save time.
  • Assign each field to the correct signer to avoid confusion.
  • Set due dates to encourage timely completion.
  • Verify signer contact information before sending a request.
  • After completion, download the audit log for your records and compliance.

Troubleshooting

  • If a signer doesn’t receive their email, ask them to check their spam folder and confirm their email address is correct.
  • If a document fails to upload, convert it to PDF and try again.
  • For other issues, contact Lendiom support for assistance.
